Negros Oriental I Electric Cooperative Incorporated is committed to safeguarding your personal information and upholding your privacy in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Your personal information is collected during membership application, filing of complaints, SMS bill inquiries, website visits, attendance to district elections, registration to annual general membership assemblies, meter reading activities, payment collections, and other Human Resource related activities.
The primary purpose of collecting and processing your personal information is to enable the Cooperative to facilitate your membership application, address complaints, confirm attendance or registration, and provide information for meter reading activities, payment collections, and other Human Resource activities.
The disclosure and sharing of your personal information shall only be upon your consent, or as required by law, with relevant private or public persons, offices, or agencies. Your personal information shall be stored for five (5) years upon collection date and shall be extended if needed. Afterward, it will be archived for two (2) years in a secured area or location before being completely disposed of by shredding and destruction. Prior to disposal, your personal information as data subjects can be retrieved from our offices.
As our data subject, you may avail of the guarantees provided by RA 10173, or the Data Privacy Act of 2012, which includes the rights to be informed, access, rectify, erasure or blocking, compensation, and to file a complaint.
